20 years as a manager in the restaurant industry gave me an opportunity to meet many wonderful people who had always cared for their own needs, but needed someone to help them in their older years.
They were reluctant to continually bother their neighbors or adult children to buy groceries, run to the pharmacy, change light bulbs or buy and hook-up a new telephone.
Many had lives that were so busy with work that shopping or other errands left them with little time for hobbies or fun with friends and family.
Personal experience with less-than-satisfactory care of my home and pets while away on vacation convinced me of the need for professional care, and dependable pet and house sitting services.
The Errand Lady opened in 2002 to provide help with these needs and many others.
